The company I am currently working for has gone through multiple rounds of layoffs. Although I managed to avoid the earlier rounds, I am still unsure if I will be included in the final list. I don't know whether I should choose "freedom" or "staying in the current situation". In fact, I know very little about the harsh reality outside. I can only understand the actual situation after submitting resumes and attending interviews. Most of my friends have found good jobs, which is different from what is said online. Although finding a job is not difficult, there are not many opportunities for significant job changes and salary increases. The number of positions in large companies is also limited 😔. Without daring to imagine, if I am optimized, I will take the following measures:
- Rest for a week 😴: Completely unrelated to any work or technical matters. After three consecutive years of work, I should take a good rest. During these two weeks, I will stay at home 😪, go to the library to read books 📚, spend time with my parents 👪, walk the dog 🐶, play with the cat 🐱, and plan for a trip 🗺️. Actually, I don't have any particular hobbies that I am deeply passionate about.
- Travel for a week ✈️: By this time, I might start feeling anxious, but traveling can temporarily help me forget about the anxiety. I choose Taiwan or Thailand 🇹🇭 as my travel destination.
- Update my resume for four days 📝: The last time I updated my resume was the previous time.
- Prepare for interviews for two weeks 📚: I will organize and refresh my memory 💡, and prepare some relevant knowledge points.
- Start submitting resumes 📩: The timing is not fixed, and I will start submitting resumes in order of preference. Of course, I will also seek referrals through friends 👥.
According to my plan, my goal is to receive my first job offer within three months 🎉. Of course, the premise of the above plan is that I am optimized. Wish me good luck 🍀.
